Don't Treat Others Like You Want to be Treated

Everyone is motivated differently, yet sometimes we get caught up in the old adage: “treat others as you would like to be treated.”  Unfortunately when it comes to keeping people motivated, productive, and happy at work, this doesn’t always apply.

If you are not sure how to or what motivates your employees, ASK THEM!

Here are questions you should ASK EVERY EMPLOYEE:

  • What do you do best at work?
  • What do you dislike doing at work?
  • What can I count on you for?
  • What do you need from me as your manager?

Once you have the answers from each employee, you can great a management plan based on the individual talents and strengths on your team.

Everyone will be happier! Managing people is not for the weak of heart!
